Acer Expands Graphics Card Lineup with Intel Arc and Radeon RX 9060 XT OC GPUs for Gamers and Creators

May 21, 2025 By admin Leave a Comment

Acer has taken a bold step in expanding its portfolio of DIY PC components by introducing a fresh wave of Nitro-branded graphics cards designed to elevate both gaming performance and content creation workflows. Announced during Computex 2025, the lineup includes the new Acer Nitro Intel® Arc™ A and B Series GPUs and two powerhouse entries in the Radeon family— the Acer Nitro Radeon™ RX 9060 XT OC 16GB and 8GB editions. These additions mark Acer’s growing commitment to the custom PC builder market, particularly those users who demand top-tier performance wrapped in durable, thoughtfully designed hardware.

At the heart of this new lineup is a clear attention to the long-term usability and aesthetic of the hardware. Each graphics card is reinforced with an aluminum backplate and a non-flex structural design to endure the physical and thermal demands of prolonged, high-intensity gameplay. Gamers will also benefit from Acer Intelligence Space, a novel AI-focused hub built into the graphics cards. It automatically detects system hardware, offers AI-enhanced performance suggestions, and integrates tools like Game Assistance’s adaptive aim feature and Acer ProCam, which intelligently captures and saves gameplay highlights. This blend of real-time AI support and user-centric design puts Acer’s offering beyond mere speed and into a category of user experience typically reserved for premium-tier GPUs.

The standout in the Intel Arc series is the Acer Nitro Intel Arc B580 OC 12GB, now available in white for builders with a preference for lighter themes. Pushing clock speeds up to 2,740 MHz and leveraging Intel’s Xe2 microarchitecture, this card supports 1440p high FPS gaming and 8K displays with features like ray tracing, variable rate shading, mesh shaders, and XeSS-FG for intelligent frame generation. Cooling is managed by FrostBlade fans with dual ball bearings and noise reduction design—quiet, efficient, and reliable. The B580 isn’t just for gamers; creators will find plenty to love thanks to the Xe Media Engine’s dual transcoding capabilities, fast video editing, and AI-enhanced productivity features through XMX cores.

On the more compact end, the Acer Nitro Intel Arc A380 LP 6GB targets space-conscious builders or budget-friendly setups. Despite its smaller footprint, it reaches up to a 2,000 MHz game clock and maintains support for modern gaming technologies like ray tracing and Xe Super Sampling. Its blower-style fan provides heat dispersion in tight enclosures, while Intel’s XMX AI capabilities and AV1 encoding support make it a practical option for content creation on a smaller scale. This makes the A380 LP a compelling entry-level card for streamers or editors who want modern features without overcommitting on power draw or space.

Meanwhile, the two new Radeon-based cards—the RX 9060 XT OC 16GB and 8GB—target the high-performance end of the spectrum. Both units boast boost clocks up to 3,320 MHz and are based on AMD’s RDNA 4 architecture. With full DirectX 12 Ultimate and AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 4 support, the 9060 XT OC GPUs promise strong ray tracing performance, smooth gameplay in 4K or 8K environments, and low-latency responsiveness powered by AMD HYPR-RX. This positions them as capable choices for competitive gaming or real-time rendering in professional applications. Cooling on both variants relies on dual axial fans with ball bearings and oil-based lubrication—balancing thermal management with acoustic efficiency. The primary distinction between the two models is memory capacity, with the 16GB version offering more overhead for demanding multitasking and future-proofing, while the 8GB version remains a slightly more accessible option.

Price-wise, Acer seems to be taking a strategic approach in EMEA, starting the B580 OC 12GB at EUR 329—a compelling value for a mid-to-high-tier Arc GPU. The Radeon RX 9060 XT OC cards follow in June, with the 16GB model retailing at EUR 649.99 and the 8GB model at EUR 599.99. All three entries promise value by offering performance and features that reflect trends in AI integration, 8K readiness, and hardware-level enhancements that extend the product’s relevance well beyond the current gaming cycle.

With this release, Acer is no longer just a spectator in the graphics card arena—it’s a serious participant. From design elements that ensure durability to intelligent features that bridge gaming and creative demands, this new Nitro lineup embraces the complex needs of today’s PC enthusiasts. By aligning with both Intel’s and AMD’s latest architectures and building in smart, user-facing innovations, Acer is planting its flag squarely in the territory of accessible high-performance computing. Whether you’re a competitive gamer seeking speed and responsiveness, or a creator looking for a robust visual engine to support your workflow, Acer’s expanded graphics card lineup offers a future-proof invitation to build boldly.
